At Prairie State College, our Spanish program provides a range of flexible options tailored to suit your individual needs. Whether you're fulfilling a general education requirement or simply eager to master a new language, our program is designed to accommodate everyone.
With nearly 500 million speakers worldwide, Spanish ranks as the third most spoken language globally, following Mandarin Chinese and English. Moreover, it holds the second position in terms of native speakers. In the United States, approximately 29 million residents aged 5 and above speak Spanish at home. This equates to about 1 in every 10 US residents.
